We're in the middle of a historic domestic auto industry upheavel. With lots of help from us—the taxpayers—Chrysler and GM are undergoing massive reorganizations. Chrysler recently emerged from bankruptcy partnered with Fiat, while the once mighty General Motors is weaving its own way through Chapter 11.
