Just wondering if anyone had any experience repairing urethane bumpers...we're talking late 70's GM here. What would be best for repairing small tears and such.
The better auto body supply shops carry a product that's called "plastic weld" Its actually a specialized 2 part epoxy formulated to repair rips in urethane bumpers from the 70's to today. 'Fusion' is one brand of adhesive products that makes the epoxy. Its not generally avail over the counter at parts stores. Check with an automotive paint and body shop.
I have used it on 70-73 trans am noses, and 73-81 corvette bumpers with good results.
