Dodge ZEO Concept at Peking Motor Show! This is ...WOW! blog

If you'd like to see what the next generation of muscle cars will be like, look no further than the 2008 Dodge ZEO Concept. The four-passenger sport wagon was designed for driving enthusiasts and tree-huggers alike. It's equipped with an all-electric, lithium-ion battery powerplant that can go up to 250 miles before needing to be recharged. And even though it doesn't burn gas, it certainly can burn rubber, going from 0-60 miles per hour in under six seconds.

Why do they give these eco-friendly cars such ugly designs. It makes people not want to buy them

So, the ZEO has a range, and power level close to the Tesla Roadster, but two extra seats. And the Tesla has been in development for how long, with an expected price tag of 0K. How can Chrysler make this a real affordable vehicle. This is clearly a "Concept" from Chrysler. The "Concept" being : we have no R&D division, and no help from Daimler anymore, but we need to appear environmentally responsible after showing only a crappy SUV hybrid at the LA autoshow.

I really like this car--wouldn't expect it to become reality, but this is where the industry needs to go.

Tony, I'm with you, I think they pulled these numbers out of their A$$, as I don't see anything other than drawings and pie in the sky numbers.

It doesn't necessarily compete with the Tesla, that may be more up market. is this viper or neon market segment?

I was gonna reply with, "Nah, not any uglier," but then I click on the rear view and I change my vote to, "Sigh, yes they somehow did."

    Well, heck- I like it.

It's not hard to see were the designers got inspiration from the RX8, but it's got a nice bit of the Dodge muscle look to it- little bit of Challenger in the front... Can't wait to see it next week in person.
