Union workers at KIA MOTORS CORP. (KSE:000270) on Thursday rejected a tentative wage agreement with the company's management that could have ended a series of partial strikes that have affected the carmaker. The deal ironed out on Wednesday called for a 5.6 per cent raise in the basic monthly salary, a bonus equivalent to three months of salary and a lump-sum payment of three million won (US$2,730).
