The production version of Kia's new "urban crossover", the Soul, will make its world debut at the 2008 Paris auto show on October 2 and be launched in South Africa early in 2009.Right-hand drive production is due to start in March, 2009 and the Soul will be offered with a choice of 1.6 and two-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel engines based on the DOHC units already fitted to the European-built Kia Cee'd, with a choice of manual or automatic transmissions, depending on model.

A FERRARI sports car was badly damaged after a smash in Hagley which left a motorcyclist with serious injuries. The collision happened at 1.20pm on Saturday August 30 on the A456 Birmingham Road near the Badgers Set Inn. The rider of a blue Suzuki bike suffered a fractured leg, arm and wrist during the incident which caused the busy road to be closed for two hours.
