Tips to Safe Driving

Posted Thursday, Aug 28, 2008 by mapacheco20

For the car newbies and car professionals alike. Here are some driving tips from Autopartswarehouse.com. Mostly basic drivers ed stuff, but it doesn't hurt to refresh your memory once in a while.

  1. Conduct safety checks and make the necessary adjustments on your mirrors and lights.

  2. Don’t forget to wear your seatbelt.

  3. During low-visibility conditions or when night is rapidly approaching, turn on those headlights.

  4. Do stop when you see a STOP sign in front of you.

  5. When approaching an intersection, stop with the nose of your vehicle just slightly over the line and turn left and right before proceeding.

  6. Yellow means slow down, not speed up.

  7. If you’re on a two-lane road where parking is allowed, stay near the center line to give people room to open their parked auto’s car doors.

  8. Anticipate mistakes from other drivers.

  9. If you’re experiencing engine or battery problems, pull over at a safe location.

  10. If your vehicle stalls, don’t leave it.

There are more, but I would leave it to ten.
